DCS Quality Management System Certified to New ISO Standard
In January 2009, DCS successfully completed registration to the new ISO 9001:2008 standard for Quality Management Systems. The DCS Quality Management System allows the company to continually improve service to our customers and to add value for our employee-owners.
We are pleased to be one of the first companies to achieve certification to the new ISO 9001:2008 standard. The DCS Quality Management System was initially registered to the ISO 9001:2000 standard in March of 2006. Over the past three years, the DCS executive management team has been dedicated to strengthening and expanding the scope of the Quality Management System and the ISO registration throughout the company.
Over 90% of DCS employees work at or are managed from DCS facilities in which the Quality Management System has been registered to the ISO 9001:2008 standard. We continue our pursuit of business excellence and plan to expand the scope of registration to include all DCS facilities. The audit was conducted by QMI-SAI Global, North America’s leading management systems registrar. QMI-SAI Global confirmed that DCS continues to demonstrate commitment to improving our management system in order to enhance overall performance. The auditor specifically noted our excellent program plans to address requirements and achieve customer satisfaction.
