About DCS Corporation

Outreach

At DCS, our employees are a close-knit family, bound together by our mission to enhance and protect the well-being of our nation. So it's no surprise that our staff are just as committed to giving back to their communities with charitable acts and civic projects.

From collecting toys for needy children and organizing blood drives to serving lunches at local shelters and sending care packages to our troops, the staff at DCS are proud to assist those in need.

These good deeds don't stem from a corporate directive, but rather from the charitable spirit of our employees and their dedication to their fellow citizens.

Some recent examples of our staff's community outreach efforts include:

DCS supports our local community's technology education programs. Sending care packages to our troops in Afghanistan
DCS staff sent nearly 50 care pages to servicemen and women 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit out of North Carolina and Norfolk, Virginia, enclosing personal notes and letters of encouragement.

Christmas In April
A caring group of DCS employees recently completed the rehabilitation 20 houses belonging to low-income elderly and disabled homeowners. We rolled up our sleeves and assisted with major home improvements, from fixing rotten window frames and installing new roofing to installing smoke detectors and landscaping. We were thrilled to enable these homeowners to live in warmth, safety and independence.

Operation Iraqi Children
The DCS Alexandria, Lexington Park, Huntsville, and Ridgecrest offices coordinated to create school supply kits to send to an American military base in Iraq. The kits were distributed by soldiers to local Iraqi schools that have suffered as a result of war. We are proud that our DCS employees were extremely generous in their support of this initiative. Contributions came in the form of both school supplies and cash donations, which were used to buy additional supplies and sports equipment, and DCS covered the shipping costs.

Carpenter's Shelter Tree of Giving
Every year during the holiday season, our local Carpenter's Shelter provides us with the names of 26 children and their wish lists. They knew they count on the generosity of DCS staff because our list of names last year tripled! Even so, we were able to purchase multiple items from each and every child's wish list. We delivered our DCS van full of gifts for the children for the Shelter's holiday celebration, who were overwhelmed and thankful for the thoughtfulness of DCS employees.
