
Jim Wood
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Wood is currently serving as President (first elected President in 1988)
and Chief Executive Officer of DCS Corporation, where he is responsible for all
corporate activity including strategic planning and general management. As
President/CEO, Mr. Wood has managed the growth of DCS from a $14M revenue
company in 1987 to a $90M revenue company with more than 600 employees in 2006.
Mr. Wood has extensive experience in managing business development for a wide
variety of products from acquisition planning support to virtual prototyping
workstations.
In addition to his work as President/CEO, Mr. Wood has directed technical
programs at DCS Corporation to support the development and application of
electro-optical systems to solve requirements of target acquisition, pilotage,
surveillance, search and rescue, signature assessment, and target tracking for
the DoD and other federal agencies. Before coming to DCS in 1978, Mr. Wood
served as the manager of the image evaluation and target signature laboratories
at the Army's Center for Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate
(CNVESD). His work has included the following:

Designed and directed DARPA Advanced IR Imaging System Evaluation Facility at
CNVESD

Directed Army-Wide Target Signature Program whose mission was collecting
multi-spectral target signatures of threat vehicles and typical background
components

Co-authored tri-service guide for writing specifications for IR sensors

Co-authored CNVESD Handbook on realistic battlefield performance of EO Sensors
in Central Europe

Co-authored book titled Infrared Imaging Systems Analysis
