DCS Supports Local Engineering Program

DCS Corp joins with several other engineering firms in Ridgecrest, CA to support engineering students at Cerro Coso Community College. Cerro Coso has established a two-year, pre-engineering program for mechanical and electrical engineering students. The program was developed in consultation with an advisory committee of China Lake Naval personnel, Cerro Coso faculty and administration, Sierra Sands School District faculty and administration, and California State University representatives.

DCS, and the other local engineering firms, has provided funding to sponsor the program and “adopt” engineering classes to ensure that the classes will remain in the program schedule. “This partnership is a marvelous example of local business stepping up to help provide for their own future and for the futures of our young people” stated Cerro Coso President, Dr. Mary Retterer.
