US Coast Guard & Homeland Security (DHS)
DCS Corp plays a critical role in the development and lifecycle engineering support for a variety of surface and aviation command, control, and navigation systems for the US Coast Guard (USCG). Under a succession of contracts spanning more than 13 years, DCS has provided engineering and technical services to support development, integration, and test of Coast Guard maritime, surface and aviation systems. Support for these programs is provided from corporate facilities in Virginia Beach, VA and Lexington Park, MD, as well as onsite at USCG Command and Control Engineering Center (C2CEN) and the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
Systems Support
USCG maritime and land-based surface systems supported, tested and integrated include sector command centers, aids to navigation, automatic identification systems, and electronic charting systems, Nationwide Differential Global Positioning Systems (NDGPS), surface search radars, networks, electro-optic and sensor systems, weather and environmental systems, antennas, data links and navigations systems. Because DCS does not develop or manufacture associated systems or hardware we are not subject to OCI. This allows us, as a pure play services company, to perform as an honest broker for the US Coast Guard, enhancing the excellence of USCG and DHS system lifecycle support processes.
System Development and Testing
DCS Corp supports USCG system development and integration testing requirements for shipboard and land-based navigation, and command and control (C2) systems. DCS support for system engineering and test requirements at C2CEN is the result of a long-term relationship during which our role has expanded to encompass all facets of lifecycle test for the C2CEN product portfolio. Our engineers and analysts provide contract support for the development of test methodologies, execution of hardware and software IV&V test services, and preparation of test reports to support development and maintenance of all software, hardware, and associated interfaces under C2CEN’s control. We also support the analysis, definition and management of system requirements supporting the C2CEN lifecycle engineering mission for Electronic Navigation systems.
Program Development
DCS has a key role supporting critical development programs for a new generation of Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security maritime and shore-based command centers. Our Subject Matter Experts assist developers engaged in integrating various tactical functions into the Shipboard Command and Control (SCCS) and Seawatch systems while also providing qualification testing for the Coast Guard Command and Control (CGC2) system. DCS analysts also support C2CEN test responsibilities in support of the Inter-agency Operations Center Watchkeeper system which will provide DHS the tools to enhance collaborative information sharing and situational awareness.
Empowered Ownership
