Vice President of Information Technology
David Tamayo joined DCS in February 1997. David provides the vision and leadership for the development and implementation of all DCS IT governance. He leads the strategic and operational IT planning by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the enterprise.
Before coming to DCS and for several years, David was the IT leader at Tower Watson in Washington where he managed the delivery of IT services including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development. Before that, David served as Information Systems Officer at the International Monetary Fund approving, prioritizing, and managing projects as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major IT systems.
David received his Bachelor’s in Computers and Information Systems from George Washington University and his Master’s degree in Management of Information Technology from University of Virginia.
