Huntsville, Ala. – DCS Corporation announced the appointment of Dale McDonough as its Director of Army Aerospace Programs and Huntsville Office Site Manager. In this role, McDonough will lead all DCS operational and business growth activities in the Huntsville/Redstone Arsenal area focused on Army air and missile defense, close combat weapons and aviation programs.

“As a retired Army aviator, systems engineer and project manager, Dale has the organizational background and systems experience needed to lead DCS’s efforts in the Huntsville market,” commented Bill Protzman, Executive Vice President of DCS Army and Marine Corps Sector. “He understands DCS core competencies applicable to Army aviation and missile programs and how these capabilities can bolster DoD’s modernization and sustainment efforts.”

Mr. McDonough, who joined DCS in 2006, is certified in DoD Material Acquisition Management, Research & Development, and Test & Evaluation functional areas and has been associated with AMCOM, AMRDEC, PEOs, SMDC, MDA and Redstone Test Center for over 30 years. He was a DCS Branch Manager for Apache Attack Helicopter support. As the Huntsville Account Manager, he led capture and proposal efforts leading to several BPA and task order contract awards. He currently serves as Program Manager for DCS’s AMCOM EXPRESS Prime Contracts in the Technical and Programmatic Domains.

DCS has a long history in Huntsville. Current operations have evolved from the company’s legacy support to the Army Aviation Systems Command (AVSCOM) and PM Apache—a capability that migrated from St. Louis, Missouri in 1997 in step with the Army’s relocation of those programs.
