C5ISR

DCS provides extensive C5ISR support to Army, Navy, and Air Force customers across the United States. We help our customers develop and integrate C5ISR technologies to enable information dominance, and turning that information into decisive lethality on the battlefield. We help conduct research and development in the areas of command and control, including control of unmanned air, ground, and undersea systems; power and electronic/physical integration of advanced sensors and other systems; intelligence and reconnaissance through the synthesis of information from advanced sensors and systems; night vision and 360 degree situational awareness sensors and the integration/human factors research for those systems; and safe/secure cyber communications.

DCS provides Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) integrated bridge system architecture, hardware and software development; mission equipment (Warfighter Information Network-Tactical [WIN-T], Joint Battle Command-Platform [JBC-P], and MRAP capability set communications) integration; and developmental testing support. DCS designed, developed, fabricated, integrated, tested, and supported a Digital Backbone System upgrade kit for the MRAP family of vehicles. The Digital Backbone System provides a common data, video, and power distribution and control infrastructure to facilitate integration of C4ISR mission equipment packages into MRAP vehicles.

DCS supports avionics systems engineering, integration and test for Navy aircraft including the F-35 and F/A-18 and systems including communications, command and control, reconnaissance, sensors and other systems related to C5ISR. We have subject matter experts who perform intelligence research on air defense, ground, and airborne radars and missile threat systems to program them into threat models and emitter databases.

DCS provides technical lead/systems engineering and program/logistics coordinator support for programs like Sentinel Hawk. This includes:

  • Airborne sensors and airborne signature Research and Development (R&D) and modeling and simulation.
  • Spectral target imagery modeling and detection.
  • Advanced technology R&D of battle management and net-centric collaboration systems and technologies.
  • Sensor exploitation for ISR.
  • ISR sensors and payloads support for the Advanced Technologies, GEOINT and SIGINT Programs.

DCS provides advanced sensor exploitation performance assessments and develops reference implementations. We integrate these advanced sensor exploitation performance assessments with modeling and simulations tools to perform mission level analyses.

DCS provides sensor exploitation expertise to automatic target identification programs. We provide systems engineering, performance assessment, lab and field test support to various programs. We are experts in 3D laser radar simulation and signal processing, along with bistatic Synthetic Aperture Radar image simulation using Xpatch.

DCS provides expertise in collaborative autonomous sensing by harnessing the rapid growth in sensing capabilities of unmanned assets to enable a decisive military advantage.

DCS is leveraging deep convolutional neural networks for developing robust detection algorithms to improve human detection, tracking and characterization. Our rapid implementation supports tracking at video rates. The features of our network algorithms generate attributes fed to classification networks to perform human characterization. In other words, we support the warfighter in answering questions such as – is the human wearing a uniform, are they male or female, are they carrying a bag or not, or are they carrying a weapon or not.

DCS supports the software development efforts for the Air Force’s next-generation multi-domain collections management research and development efforts. We develop, evaluate and track nested intelligence requirements in collaborative work environments leveraging resources to identify the best collection capabilities to satisfy collection requirements. We develop decision aides to provide ISR collection planners with optimized asset allocation across multiple domains, and develop real-time displays to monitor and dynamically re-task assets with automated course-of-action recommendations with gain/loss. DCS provides modeling and simulation expertise including ELINT scenario generation, visualization, and synthetic data generation. We also develop human perception modelling in support of next generation personnel recovery concept of operations and requirements development
